Steven J. Meade has over 20 years of successful experience in the area of family law. Steve also works in the areas of assisted reproduction/surrogacy. As such, he drafts gestational carrier agreements and represents either intended parents and gestational carriers in parentage proceedings. He also works in the areas of adoption/termination of parental rights, probate, education law, collections, landlord/tenant, and land use planning.
Steve is a veteran. Steve served in the United States Navy aboard three nuclear powered submarines. Steve was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1992. Steve obtained his undergraduate degree from Boise State University in 1995 with a B. S. in Criminal Justice Administration. In 2000, Steve obtained his J.D. from the University of Idaho.
Steve began working in law related fields immediately after graduating from Boise State University. Steve worked as a paralegal in the area of family law for Attorney Stanley W. Welsh. During law school Steve continued his employment with Mr. Welsh until he graduated in 2000. At that point, Steve began working as an attorney handling family law and probate matters for Cosho, Humphrey, Greener & Welsh, P. A. In 2002, Steve joined the firm of Cantrill, Skinner, Sullivan & King, P.A. and continued working the area of family law and began working in the area of education law under Attorney John King. In 2002, Steve accepted a position as In-House General Counsel and Lobbyist for the Idaho School Boards Association, Inc. Steve continued in that position until he joined the firm of Jones Williams Fuhrman Gourley, P.A. in July, 2010.
Steve is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Idaho and the U.S. District Courts of Idaho.
